Structural Phase Transition Driven by Crystalline Anisotropy in BaTiO3
and PZT Crystals
   [PDF]

Hui Zhang
A phenomenological theory has been proposed for the structural phase transition in ferroelectric crystals here. The numerical results have shown that the phase transitions in BaTiO3 and PZT crystals are driven by the crystalline anisotropy. The good agreement between the theory and the experimental data has confirmed the correctness of our theory. This theory can also be used for understanding the martensite phase transition in the alloys.
