We analyze the geometric frustration arising in elasto-capillary systems when planar inextensible elastic sheets are wrapped on negative curvature substrates. We also propose a design for generating negative curvature liquid interfaces. Both concentric wrinkles and eye-like folds are shown to be compatible with negative curvatures. We discuss both types of geometric frustration and the phase diagram controlling their appearance.
